Someone has to do something!!!
The question was asked or I would say commented by Joe Persichina and he said Police investigation on Myspace? There are alot of sex offenders on Myspace trying to lure in young teenage kids to meet up with them outside of the cyber world. Myspace isn't doing anything about this so someone needs to jump in the act and help these young helpless teens out. The best people to do this is either the government or some kind of group that regulates Myspace entirely. There have been to many incidents where people mis identify themselves on the Internet and kids end up getting raped or killed. I do think its an extreme. But if you were a parent and your kid was talking to someone on Myspace that was talking to them sexually wouldn't you want this to be regulated by the police or government? Just something to think about in the future.
False Identity on Myspace
The question was asked Are there anyways to tell if someone is really the person they say they are or if they are just portraying the image? The answer is no there is no way that you can really tell if the person is portraying a different identity or image on Myspace. The only way that you would be able to know if someone is true to what they say is if you personally new them outside the cyber world, other then that Myspace has not came out with any kind of system that can make sure that people don't use a different identity.
Myspace Security
The questions was asked What do you think will motivate Myspace to offer security settings? by Sara Hesslebroth. She also asks should the regulations be through government or social networking sites? My response to these questions is the only think that I think will motivate Myspace to do something is if someone really gets hurt and takes Myspace to court with the issue. My space is a dangerous place to be talking to people that you don't know. There are settings where you can go on and block yourself from anyone looking at your account. Myspace is trying to help the matter somewhat but they have not gone to the extreme yet. Currently according to Robert Lemos of Security Focus he says "Myspace is advocating a law that would require those found guilty of sex crimes to register all there e-mail addresses with the national database". This doesn't stop alot of the sex offenders from getting on here still. It is so easy for anyone to create a new email account through the hundreds out there. They need to go to the extreme by asking for social security numbers. I do think Myspace could be regulated by social networks if they right people are doing it. But if problems continue to proceed then I think the government will have to get involved.

Grammar On Myspace
The question Don't you think that if we stopped to look over all the rules for proper grammar every time we wrote a message on Myspace we would spend even more time on sites like these when we already do? written by Katlin Kuntz. My response to this question is that everyone that is able to type on the key board should already know proper grammar and should not have to go back to a spelling or grammar book. It should be second hand to anyone that is on the Internet. Katlin brought up the point that isn't Myspace a more laid back environment and it is definitely, but now anyone can see your profile, unless its blocked. For example my cousin was looking over some resumes for our family business and she looked someone up on myspace and it said that he smoked weed. It just proves that whatever you type on Myspace it should be proper and it should be something written that you wouldn't care if anyone saw. People are just being lazy using slang and abbreviations on Myspace. It just makes them look like they could never be put in a professional atmosphere.
